Homunculi Read was a collective reading event organised by artist David Spraggs and myself with dinner (by Babemba Kitchen).
Assembled through mediaeval European alchemical magic, Homunculi had the capacity to make further magical bodies. Excerpts from texts on the commons, magic, feminism, and collectivity were gathered into a new body of text. The collective reading offered a temporary refuge from the rationalism favoured by capital.

When incanting this textual spell we were temporarily transformed into a group body-voice. Feeding this body-voice with reading, thinking, discussion and food yielded magical thinking and imagination.
